President’s Message

Welcome to the Valley Forge Chapter of MOAA.

The Valley Forge Chapter of MOAA membership is open to all Commissioned Officers or Warrant Officers that are either active, retired or who have served in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, their Reserve units or the National Guard. Additionally, Public Health Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Officers are also welcome. Auxiliary memberships are available to widows and widowers of any deceased individual who, if living, would be eligible for membership.

Our chapter meets monthly, for a camaraderie breakfast at a convenient location to members. Speakers provide current legislative information regarding the military both locally and nationally or another topic of interest to the members. Our December luncheon is the highlight of the year with holiday musical entertainment.

Chapter activities include supporting local college ROTC and high school JROTC programs through our Liberty Bell Scholarship Awards Program. Additionally, our members support biannual maintenance activities of the Medal of Honor Grove at The Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge. Through our “Veterans Helping Veterans Program” members provide activities at the Coatesville Veterans Hospital and Southeastern Veterans Home in Spring City, PA, helping veterans in need as well as providing them with an occasional fun outing.

There are many benefits and opportunities in membership. The greatest service opportunity is in support of our fellow veterans in the local community. MOAA National is our voice providing ongoing legislative input advocating for the rights of all who have served. As a member of the Valley Forge Chapter of MOAA, you will be able to network and have fellowship with others who have served and continue to serve.
